Session 2 - Julio Alonso

Much has been said about the rise of social networking as a new source of traffic for all sites. Even supplanting the traditional role has meant traffic from search engines, say from Google. Service adoption and almost ubiquitous appearance of the buttons I like facebook for all kinds of pages seem an obvious sign of thisHowever, if we add the rest of site traffic and compare it with that of Facebook, we can see that in absolute terms is still a ridiculous amount. Is growing very fast, and if it continues to grow at these rates may become relevant, but, today, to places the size of ours, it is not. By the way, so is Twitter. That said, it is also true that, in general, readers bring us better quality than Google. And smaller sites that the disproportion is not as pronounced.
